The Gas Man Cometh

'twas on the Monday morning the Gas Man came to call....

Luckily we didn't need the carpenter afterwards. £180 lighter but we now know our boiler is in top working order and all the random gas outlets have been stopped off.

While the gas man was hard at work I decided to start work on the garden. Clearly taking after my Mother I started off by hacking back some ivy. After a while it became clear that
   a. the ivy was mainly coming from behind the shed
   b. the ivy might be holding up the shed
   c. the asbestos roofed shed has to go!
City of London will take it for free but we need to dismantle and wrap the stuff, any volunteers? No? I'll get some quotes, ho hum, the sofa gets pushed further down the money list again.

pruning saw queen!

sorry, that was quite a few photos wasn't it.

In other news, we think we might have finished the emulsion on the sewing room. Famous last words maybe? we'll see.

Again, rather a few photos, but this time taken with a fancy-pants East London trendy app to make them look all old and stuff.

oh look, some wine has appeared, fancy that.

P.s. if you don't know the Flanders and Swann song that inspired the title for this post, you need to get to know it. Fast. The Gas Man Cometh
